Worming Up! Workshop at Two Queens

[01/08/17]
‘Worming up!’ is a workshop on 9th August 2017 for creative practitioners interested in discussing and learning about the environ(mental) challenges we face in the broader context of art practice and production. Taking effective action points we use to confront ecological issues, how are they transferable to the attitudes we have towards sustaining creative practices in our difficult environment?
Worm believes that sometimes saying ‘No!’ to a negative situation is a positive action. With activities situated in the concepts of Worm’s current project ‘Refuse’, we will explore how we can recognise toxicity in our systems of production, develop resilience and imagine empowered alternatives for an environment in which sustainable creative practices may flourish.
Worm will present its online curatorial platform in this frame and encourage individuals to relate their projects and routines with these concepts. ‘Worming up!’ aims to leave participants mindful of attitudes towards the obstacles of art practice and belly-full of homemade vegetable soup!
Please help us figure out how much soup to make by confirming your attendance on the Eventbrite here, and share the Facebook event page within your networks.
