Worm Cli-fi Reading Session with Tenderpixel: BECOMING PLANT
Worm Cli-fi Reading Session with Tenderpixel: BECOMING PLANT & Picnic in Regent's Park
Worm (Angela Chan) will be hosting the second reading session of Tenderpixel's programme for the current exhibition, 'Becoming Plant'.
I have been doing a lot of research on cli-fi ~ science fiction about climate change ~ specifically by contemporary Chinese SF authors. Together, we will read a contemporary Chinese short SF story 'The Rainforest' - by Chi Hui (aka Yulin, 雨林, translated by Jie Li), which explores a future world taken over by plantlike nanostructures.
All readings and materials will be provided on the day, but if you would like to read the story in advance, please email office@tenderpixel.com for a pdf copy.
The gathering is free,, very open, everyone is welcome. It will be a really chilled out and playful for a cute Sunday afternoon and feel free to bring picnic blankets, snacks and water!
